When can residents move in?

Move in for 2020-2021 will take place in August 2020, however if you are curious about moving in at a different date or need an immediate move in, give the leasing office a call at 330-677-7171 and we can discuss your options!

When can residents start receiving mail and packages?

As soon as residents move in and collect keys! If you need to ship packages prior to your arrival, let the leasing office know so we can accommodate you!

Is there a convenient way to get to campus?

Absolutely! With our premier location located in the heart of downtown Kent Ohio, we are just a 5 minute walk from Kent States’s campus! We are also conveniently located next to a PARTA bus stop and the PARTA bus garage which is the hub for the campus bus system! There is a bus stop right outside on Summit St. where you can also catch the bus.

What is the best way to get around Kent Ohio?

Walking! We are located right in downtown Kent across from the Police and Fire Stations. We are only a 30 second walk from downtown which has a variety of food, and nightlife options. Need to go outside of the Kent area? Check out the PARTA bus garage for available bus routes ranging from Akron, all the way to Cleveland Ohio.

Are the apartments furnished?

Yes! All units come fully furnished with features such as granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and even in unit washer and dryers! All common areas receive a couch, coffee table, and tv stand while each bedroom gets a full xl bed on a raised bed frame, two dressers, a desk, and a chair.

How are roommates picked and when do students get these results?

Our team takes roommate matching very seriously. We ask all new residents to fill out a roommate matching survey when you get signed up. This survey asks various questions about the resident’s lifestyle and personality. Our team hand selects the best fit for our residents. We send our unit assignments and roommate contact info during the summer prior to move in.

Can friends room together? How?

Friends can absolutely room together! Let us know in your roommate matching survey who you would like to be placed with and once all parties have signed lease agreements you will be moved into the same unit! We recommend signing up early so we can guarantee your roommate preferences!

Are there laundry facilities?

There are no laundry facilities on site. They are in you unit! Forget going to the laundry mat or a central laundry area. Stay in and do your laundry from the comfort of your own home!

Can residents have overnight guests?

Absolutely! Consult your lease agreement to see how many days and how many guests you can host in your unit at a specific time!

Can students bring a car and is parking available?

Yes! Please speak with a leasing specialist about what parking option is best for you. We offer 3 onsite parking options as well as free parking at the PARTA garage located 1 block from the property.

Are pets allowed in the apartments?

345 Flats is going pet friendly for 2020-2021! Please speak with a leasing specialist to see how you can bring your furry friend home with you.

How do I pay rent?

Rent can be paid in a variety of ways. You are more than welcome to pay with a check or money order in the office and we also accept credit, debit, and e-checks through our resident portal.

Can residents cancel their contracts?

We do not allow you to break your lease contract, however we do allow all residents to go through the release process outlined in your lease agreement. Ask a leasing specialist how you can be released from your contract prior to the lease end date.

When will I know where I will be living?

Our team will contact you as soon as your apartment location has been locked in! Stay tuned for our annual “Placement Party” to learn more about how you can pick your specific unit number.

Do I need rental insurance for my personal belongings?

Yes. We do require each resident to purchase and maintain an active renters insurance policy.

Who do I contact if I lock myself out of my apartment?

If the lock out occurs during office hours, stop down at the office and we will help you out! If the lockout occurs after hours, contact our afterhours emergency dispatch by calling the office at 330-677-7171, or reach out to our courtesy officers directly at 330-754-1385.

When will I know if I am assigned an apartment?

Your leasing agent will contact you once you are assigned to an apartment!

Who should I contact if I have a maintenance problem?

You can put in a maintenance request online via your resident portal, stop in during office hours, or call the office at (330) 677-7171.

Can I see an apartment prior to moving in?

Stop in for a tour today!! We have a two bedroom model we would be happy to show you! Our office hours are Monday-Friday from 9am-7pm and on the weekend from 12pm-5pm. Stop in and see us!

When is rent due?

Rent is due on the first of each month until the expiration of your lease agreement.
